Gran Turismo 5: Prologue Gameplay

The review starts of with a montage of gameplay. Mark said that finally a Gran Turismo game is on the Playstation 3. He also says that he's been a massive fan of the series since the first one. He says it has the best driving out of any game ever. He especially likes the cockpit view. He does note that it's missing the upgrade function. He also notes that it's pretty small with only 40 cars and 6 tracks, but does say that Gran Turismo 5 will be coming out at a later date. He also hates the menus in the game. He praises the graphics in the game. He also wonders why the game wasn't a launch title. He notes that it has no damage, but says that doesn't bother him. Part 1 ends with another gameplay montage.

It starts off with another montage of gameplay. Mark says that we play games so we can do things we can't do in real life. He praises the cockpit view again. He corrects himself saying that even though there aren't many cars, it means you appreciate them more. He says it is quite hard to earn credits, but it's easy in online mode. He notes that this is the introduction of Ferrari into the series, but no Lamborghini. He does say you can upgrade the cars, but in the before the race menu. He lists a bunch of cars he wants in the full version. He still recommends it.

Mark immediately tells us he's going to trash the game's online features. He tells us before playing online he kept getting an error message, so he had to google it. He then tells us that the online menus are not well done. He tells us that the beginners races suck, because there's no penalties and you keep getting disconnected. He does say that he had fun in the intermediate races. He does prefer the Xbox Live races in Forza Motorsport 2. He does like the fact that the races are quick and get you lots of credits.
