Mark said that he saved up some money and bought this Playstation 2 from Play-Asia.com . He said it was useful if you want to play Thunder Force VI. He noted that it had a internal power supply. He said it used 100V and was in NTSC and used normal video outputs that the PS2/PS3 use. He also said that all memory cards will work. He showed us the Japanese instruction manual. He recommends it over a mod chip.
